Tel Aviv’s Rail Project Delayed
07/07/2013 (The Jewish Voice - Israel): Tel Aviv initially planned to have light rail available in 2017. But according to a recent report from Israel National News, the light rail will not be available until 2023—six years later than previously planned.
The plans involve two lines and subway tunnels, according to the aforementioned report.
One line, the “Green Line,” is reportedly still on track to offer service in 2020. But an internal report delivered to Israel’s Finance Ministry from Aegis, the Dutch auditor for the rail project, relayed a prediction that the “Red Line” would not be available until 2023, according to Israel National News..
Qazvin-Astara railway project progresses by 70 percent
07/07/2013 (Trend - Azerbaijan):Qazvin-Rasht-Anzali-Astara railway project has progressed by 70 per cent, Iranian Deputy Minister of Road and Transportation Shahriar Afandizade said, the Mehr news agency reported.
"Iran has started Qazvin-Rasht section of the railway project by its national credits, because of delay in formation of regarding consortium between Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan," Afandizade said.
This project will be completed till next year, in case if necessary fund sources are provided...
